Late June usually marks the half way point in the season for Peak Honda Racing. 2011 however has turned out to be a different beast. With rounds being canceled, and weather that would rival the opening few scenes of The Wizard of Oz, this has not the case. BeaveRun marks our second race of the year and it turned out to be one to remember. Full Story >>

Round 1 is finally over. What was to be a nice, fun and exciting season opener quickly turned into a stressful, long, and exhausting weekend. With rain on and off, several crashes and a few red flags, Peak Honda Racing was able to walk away with a few wins and several 2nds and 3rds. Hit the jump for the whole story HERE

Tomorrow officially starts the 2011 season for Peak Honda Racing. Nelson Ledges will play home to the 2011 WERA North Central season opener as it has in years past. Located in Garrettsville Ohio, this 2 mile road course is made up of high speed sweeping lefts and rights followed with a long back section that can push average lap speeds over the 100mph mark. Having only visited the track once in the last 18 months, we have our work cut out for us. Hope to see you all there... and yes this picture is of the actual racing surface :) |

This past weekend was spent at the home test track Grattan Raceway by the entire team. Unfortunately for us Michigan's often unpredictable weather showed us her ugly side. Saturday the #91 of Oliver Gooden arrived in the middle of a steady rain, which wouldn't let up until that evening. Not one to waist an opportunity, Oliver spooned on the rains and got to work gaining valuable data for cold and wet conditions. As the rest of the team arrived on Sunday morning, the conditions went from bad to worse. The temperature fell to 36 degrees and windy... we're talking sustained 30mph winds with gusts near 50mph! to top it off, it began to snow. After an hour or two, the #53 of Nicholas Lefurgey and the #33 of Joe Ursini donned their leathers and began turning laps. With the temps as low as they were, it was difficult to get much done, but at least we know we remembered how to ride a motorcycle after the long winter break. See you in 2 weeks!

Well ladies and gentleman, its that time again. The race season is about to kick off in a few short weeks for Peak Honda Racing. The off season has been very kind to us. We have added several new and exciting sponsors to take to the podium. Leo Vince has joined us, as well as Sport Bike Track Gear, GP Tech and Knox Armor. Also for 2011, Peak Honda Racings riders Nicholas Lefurgey and Oliver Gooden will be joined under the canopy by new comer Joe Ursini to fill the teams novice spot. Together with our already stellar line up of sponsors, 2011 is shaping up to be a great year for Peak Honda Racing. Keep an eye on this spot for more updates as they come.

Knox Handroid Review: After destroying 3 sets of Alpinestars gloves in about 5 weekends (Alpinestars replaced them every time free of charge) I had a race coming up so I headed over to my good friends at STG to slip into a new set before |

Peak Honda Racing went 11 for 11 at BeaveRun last weekend. 11 starts with 11 podiums and the victory in each race entered. Oliver Gooden owned Saturday with the lead in almost every lap of the Solo 20 including the one that counts. Nick finished just a few seconds back in 3rd overall. The PHR boys were 1-2 for the first half of the race before some the rain started to fall. It ended up not being enough to hinder grip, but just enough to make Oliver and Nick think twice about the championship points up for grabs on Sunday, where the 53 of Nick Lefurgey dominated all 6 of his sprint races for a perfect sweep of the top step on the box.
